How to register your + RAT

Registering a positive RAT result triggers the creation of a CCCM record within 2 to 4 hours

A positive RAT result may be registered in their MYCOVID record or phoning Healthline RAT reporting on0800‑222‑478.

You can get a free supervised RAT from a participating community pharmacy if:

  • you are asymptomatic, unvaccinated, aged 12 years and 3 months or over and travelling domestically with a transport company that requires testing of unvaccinated individuals
  • you are asymptomatic, unvaccinated and attending a court of law.

Vulnerable people who are at heightened risk when symptomatic will be able to get a free supervised RAT from their GP or community provider. This could include people with medical conditions and compromised immunity, older people and people in aged care facilities.

From 28 February 2022, newly arrived fully vaccinated New Zealanders and eligible travellers from Australia will be provided with RATs to use.

From 11:59pm on Wednesay 2 March 2022, eligible travellers entering New Zealand will be given RATs tests at the airport to use on arrival and at day 5/6.

If a traveller returns a positive RAT result, they must follow this up with a PCR test. This requirement only applies to people entering New Zealand from overseas.
