Vaccinations are free and are one of the most powerful tools against COVID-19.


What are Covid Symptoms:

If you are unwell with respiratory type symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat or runny nose) please ring Healthline on 0800 611 116 or PFHC on 09 237 0280 and let us know.

You will be phone triaged by one of our clinicians to work out the best plan for you. If you need to be seen in-person, including a COVID test, this can be arranged for you.

Appointments

Video & Phone Consults
Unless there is a clinical reason you need to be seen in-person for your appointment, appointments will be provided via video or phone. You can book these via the portal (saving you even more time!) or by phoning the practice.

If you feel you need to be seen in-person – please phone the practice and advise our reception staff. They will take your contact details and a clinician will phone you back to arrange the most suitable appointment for you.

All immunisations, cervical screening, contraception procedures (LARC & Depo Provera), Drivers Licences will continue as normal.
Prescriptions.
Prescriptions will be sent electronically to your pharmacy. You can order these via the Portal or by phoning the practice after 10am.

Lab Forms
Most lab forms are now being sent electronically to the lab - no need to try and keep track of those paper lab forms!

Same-Day Appointments
If you are unwell and feel you need to be seen the same day please ring us - our receptionist will take a few details and one of our clinicians will call you back to see what the best plan is for you.

This may mean they can help you then and there without needing to have another appointment booked, - if you do still need one, they can arrange this for you.

  • Portal bookings
    Due to COVID, currently online bookings via the portal are for video or phone only. If you need an in-person appointment, please phone the practice
  • Jump the phone queues!
    Using the portal where possible for booking appointments, checking test results, reviewing your medical records or requesting repeat prescriptions is a quick and easy way to manage your health care needs.

  • Patient Portal: If you are over the age of 16 years, your personal portal convenient and easy to book appointments, check your test results, review your health records or contact us for repeat prescriptions.

What you need to know

The Ministry of Health has confirmed New Zealand’s further positive COVID-19 tests which fits the existing pattern.

The Ministry is asking that anyone that believes they have symptoms rings the practice before coming in. Please do not arrive unannounced as there are specific protocols in place for your support.
