What is a virtual consultation?
Our virtual consultations include phone and video appointments, they are the same as having an in-person consultation, but can be done from the privacy and comfort of your chosen location.

What equipment do I need for a video consultation?
You will need a computer, laptop or smart phone. A good internet connection.

How do online appointments work?
A reminder text message will be sent to your mobile the day before your appointment.
You will need to sign into your virtual consult through https://doxy.me/pukekohefamily.
You will need to enter your name, where you will be sitting in a virtual waiting room, and your doctor will click on your name, and you will be connected.
Your doctor will then complete your consultation.

What does an online appointment cost?

Online appointments cost the same price as coming into see your doctor. Having a virtual appointment saves you time and petrol costs of coming into the practice, we feel this is a big saving. View our prices here

How are you charged for a online appointment?
A charge for the consultation will be added to your account, this can be via the online Health Portal, or can be paid through internet banking. Please use your DOB as your reference, acc no: 01 0403 0071145 05 - Pukekohe Family Health Care Ltd. An invoice will also be emailed or mailed to you.

What can't be treated online?

Urgent health problems that require a physical examination. If you are having a serious emergency please phone 111 immediately.

What are virtual consults suitable for?
Virtual consults are good for non urgent medical issues, ie coughs and colds, skin conditions, rashes, mental health and wellness, minor injures, repeat prescriptions, medical certificates, sexual health, pregnancy, headaches and migraines and more.
